At PwC, our tax services team focuses on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These professionals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions. Those in International Tax will advise on structuring global tax positions and work with multinational businesses to develop strategies that optimise tax efficiency and minimise risks. Meaningful work youll be part of As a Corporate Tax Manager, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver highquality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Advise clients on local and crossborder tax affairs, acting as a strategic consultant, leveraging your understanding of their business requirements and innovative tax optimization techniques. Understand client stakeholder objectives and navigate business operations to bring ideas for tax efficiency, including reorganisations, business expansion, exits, often involving a multidisciplinary tax team in a primary client pointofcontact role. Improve clients tax functions to control risk and facilitate better decisionmaking. Focus on tax strategy, ensuring compliance, increasing posttax profits, and providing application support for best corporate tax practices. Stay abreast of tax developments relevant to your client portfolio, proactively engaging clients in discussions to address tax considerations in a timely manner, and sharing experiences with the broader service team. Work directly with a wide variety of public and private clients across multiple industries and jurisdictions to provide distinctive client service. Manage the client service team on a portfolio of clients, including budgeting, engagement letters, technology deployment, resource and work allocation, billing and coordination with other PwC teams. Develop new skills outside your comfort zone and act to resolve issues preventing effective teamwork. Coach others, recognise their strengths, and encourage them to take ownership of their personal development. Analyse complex ideas or proposals and build a range of meaningful recommendations using multiple sources of information. Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems. Uphold the firms code of ethics and business conduct, focusing on building trusted relationships internally and with clients. Experience and skills youll use to solve CPA (CA, CMA, or CGA) or other accounting designation is an asset. Completion or nearcompletion of the CPA Indepth Tax Course or Master of Taxation (MTax) program is an asset. Strong technical background and broadbased tax skills from prior experience in a professional services firm or in industry. A proven leader with strong business development and entrepreneurial skills who possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical capability, sound business sense, and a creative mind that has earned you the reputation of providing excellence in client service. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner. Ability to manage, develop, retain, and mentor junior tax professionals. Strong organisational skills and a positive attitude when working under pressure. Interact in a personable manner, with the ability to build and lead teams, including the coordination of both local and global subjectmatter experts, with an eye for managing the clients experience.
