Atholville Mill is currently recruiting for the following position: Instrumentation & Control Technician Electrical & Instrumentation DepartmentRole OverviewThe successful applicant will work with our E&I team to perform tasks ranging from routine plant maintenance to implementation of improvement projects.ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and process control systems used in pulp mill operationsInstall, calibrate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair field instrumentation and analyzers (pressure, flow, level, temperature, consistency, pH, conductivity, etc.)Maintain and troubleshoot DCS, PLC, VFD, and associated control systems related to instrumentation and automationPerform loop checks, control loop tuning, and reliability inspectionsInstall and terminate instrumentation wiring and tubing in accordance with drawings and specificationsRead and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams, and technical manualsWork with operations and maintenance personnel to support safe and reliable mill operationsComplete preventive maintenance tasks, work orders as assignedParticipate in startups, shutdowns, reliability initiatives, and capital projectsIdentify and report deficiencies in instrumentation systems in accordance with applicable codes and standardsFollow all safety rules and procedures, including lockout/tagout, confined space entry, and working at heightsQualifications, Skills & Abilities:Journeyperson status in Instrumentation & Controls Technician;Strong troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of electrical controls, MCCs and power distribution equipmentKnowledge of VFDs, PLC and DCS systemsExperience in an industrial plant an assetAdequate knowledge of CMS Work order systems, Inventory systemWhy AV Group NB Inc.?With AV Group NB Inc. you will become a part of a worldwide global company that understands the value of their employees.
