OverviewThe Opportunity: We are partnering with a long-standing Canadian company representing leading manufacturers of sampling, analytics, and integration solutions for industries such as energy, natural gas, power, and mining. The company has built its reputation on deep technical expertise and exceptional customer service, from inquiry through to commissioning. We are supporting them in the hiring of an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join the team. This person will be responsible for driving new business, strengthening existing relationships, and serving as a trusted technical resource for customers across Western Canada, with focus on customers in the Natural Gas space. The ideal candidate combines strong technical aptitude with a natural ability to build rapport and close deals. Candidate location will be Fort St John, BC or Grand Prairie, AB or able to spend extensive time in that region.About the RoleThis is a field-based sales position focused on top-line revenue growth. The successful candidate will develop new opportunities, provide solutions to customer challenges, and maintain a strong presence with both existing and prospective clients. The role requires curiosity, persistence, and the ability to translate technical strengths into commercial wins.Key ResponsibilitiesGenerate new business opportunities and drive revenue growth within the territoryDevelop a thorough understanding of products, markets, and customer needsMonitor competitor activity, market trends, and emerging opportunitiesProactively identify and pursue new customers and applicationsConduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrationsEngage in consultative selling to align technical solutions with customer challengesRetain and expand existing accounts, ensuring excellent after-sales supportPrepare proposals and collaborate with inside sales, service, and technical teamsMaintain accurate records and pipeline management within the CRMProvide input into reporting, forecasting, and strategic planningMaintain strong communication with management and supplier partnersCandidate ProfileProven track record in outside sales (5+ years), ideally with exposure to the natural gas industryDiploma or degree in Chemical Engineering preferred; instrumentation, electronics, or related technical background also consideredStrong knowledge of instrumentation, analyzers, and electro-mechanical systemsHighly motivated, self-driven, and able to manage time and priorities effectivelyStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative, solution-focused approachAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teamsFlexible and willing to travel extensively across Western Canada as neededWhy This OpportunityWork with a respected, technically focused distributor representing industry-leading manufacturersField-based autonomy with strong support from inside sales and service teamsOpportunity to grow market presence in key industries such as energy, power, and miningA collaborative, customer-first culture with a focus on delivering solutions, not just products #J-18808-Ljbffr
