Acuren is seeking IRATA Certified CWB Level 2 Inspectors to support operations in Sparwood, BC! The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to interpret drawings and codes while collaborating with project teams in a fast-paced industrial environment. Position Details Location: Sparwood, BC Start Date/Duration: April 20, 2026 - June 26, 2026 Schedule: 40 hours per week, with potential for overtime; Day and Night shifts (12-hour shifts) Hourly Rate: $47.50 - $59.50, depending on certifications and experience Travel & Accommodations: Flights and LOA provided Responsibilities Monitor work in progress to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and acceptable workmanship standards. Perform inspections of process piping, power piping, and structural components from material verification through to installation and final commissioning. Review and evaluate inspection and test reports in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, and standards; identify deficiencies and recommend acceptance or rejection as required. Verify materials, welds, and fabrication activities meet project and regulatory requirements. Review Work Scope Packages to ensure alignment with inspection requirements and project specifications. Interpret construction drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications to support inspection activities. Document inspection findings, maintain accurate records, and prepare detailed reports. Collaborate with project teams, welders, and supervisors to address non-conformances and support corrective actions. Ensure adherence to all safety policies, procedures, and site requirements during inspection activities. Qualifications Valid CWB Level 2 Certification (required) IRATA certification (required) Previous Quality Control (QC) and inspection experience in industrial environments is considered an asset. Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ASME B31.3, B31.1, Section VIII Div. 1, Section IX, Section II, as well as CSA W47.1 and W59. Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods such as radiographic (RT), magnetic particle (MT), and liquid penetrant (PT) is considered an asset. Skills & Competencies Ability to interpret welding procedures (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and engineering drawings. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of work. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment.
