Moncton Campus- 1070 St George Blvd, Moncton, E1E 4K7 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, flexibility required The Opportunity The Community Engagement Specialist (CES) is responsible for driving brand awareness, lead generation, and community engagement for Eastern College across Atlantic Canada, with a strong focus on B2B business Engagement and regional event execution. This role is a true road warrior, traveling up to 70% of the time across Halifax, Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John to build relationships, represent the college, and execute highimpact community and partner-based initiatives. The CES works cross-functionally with Operations, Marketing, Admissions, and Campus leadership to plan and deliver successful events, strengthen local partnerships, and generate qualified student leads that support enrollment growth. What youll be doing: 1. Event Planning & Execution Plan, coordinate, and execute on-campus and offsite events, including career fairs, information sessions, community activations, and partner events. Work closely with Marketing and Operations teams to ensure events are wellbranded, effectively promoted, and operationally successful. Collaborate with Campus Directors and local teams to align events with campus goals and enrollment targets. Take lead on all Admissionbased events. Represent Eastern College at events, deliver presentations and engage prospective students and partners. Capture photo and video content at events for use in marketing, social media, and promotional materials. Ensure proper collection and documentation of student marketing consent forms for testimonials and content usage. 2. Community & B2B Business Engagement Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, high schools, agencies, and associations to drive awareness and referrals. Identify and execute B2B partnership opportunities that generate student leads and enhance brand presence. Act as a local ambassador for Eastern College within each market. Build longterm, sustainable pipelines through community engagement and employer partnerships. 3. Lead Generation & Admissions Support Generate and qualify leads through community outreach, events, and partnerships. Support the admissions funnel by connecting prospective students with the Admissions team. Maintain accurate and timely data entry in the College Administration System (XCAS). Track and report on outreach activities, partnerships, and event performance. 4. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the Regional Director of Admissions, Campus Directors, Career Services Managers, and local Marketing staff to execute regional strategies. Partner with internal teams to align messaging, campaigns, and outreach efforts. Provide market insights and feedback to support continuous improvement in recruitment strategies. What you bring to the position: Postsecondary diploma and/or degree (business, marketing, or related field preferred). Minimum 23 years of experience in business Engagement, sales, community engagement, or events. Proven success in relationship building, public speaking, and lead generation. Effective communication with potential new students from high schools is a major part of the CES role. Correspondence with high school students will be done in person through presentations, school visits, events, and other outreach activities. Effective followup and communication with potential new students and the existing student body will be a major part of the CESs role. Monthly, quarterly & annual lead generation targets as established by the Regional Director of Admissions. Outreach activities including high school visits, community engagement, and B2B partnership Engagement. Event execution metrics, including attendance, lead capture, and conversion to the admissions pipeline. Helping prospective students navigate their interest in programs through events and outreach is vital to the overall recruitment process. The success of the role will depend on the CESs ability to overcome obstacles related to engagement, participation, and lead conversion. The CES is given the responsibility of determining and prioritizing outreach activities, partnerships, and event opportunities based on their potential to generate leads and support campus objectives. The CES will be required to travel extensively (up to 70% of the time) across Halifax, Sydney, Moncton, Fredericton, and Saint John to support community outreach, high school engagement, business Engagement, and event execution. A valid drivers license and willingness to travel are required. Must have access to a reliable personal vehicle, as lack of vehicle access is not compatible with the requirements of this role.
