This is a fantastic opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting one of Lanarkshires most respected charities, helping to generate vital income that directly supports patients and families across the region. About the Role As Schools & Community Fundraiser, you will nurture and grow relationships with nurseries, primary and secondary schools across Lanarkshire, as well as wider community supporters. Youll play a key role in delivering educational outreach, inspiring pupils and staff, and representing the Hospice at events and presentations. A major part of the role involves supporting and coordinating some of the Hospices flagship fundraising eventssuch as the Wear Yellow Walk, 6K Fun Run, Tinto Hill and Ben Nevis challengesensuring they run smoothly and achieve their income targets. This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, confident in engaging with people, and passionate about community impact. While experience in the charity sector is desirable, it is not essential . Candidates with strong administration, coordination, or community engagement backgrounds will be fully considered. Key Responsibilities Build and develop relationships with schools, nurseries, and community groups. Deliver engaging presentations to pupils, staff, and parents. Coordinate and support major Hospice fundraising events and campaigns. Identify new opportunities for income generation and supporter engagement. Provide excellent stewardship to donors, volunteers, and event participants. Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations, GDPR, and health & safety requirements. Represent the Hospice professionally at events and community activities. About You We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate: Strong organisational and administrative skills. Confidence in presenting to groups of all ages. The ability to build relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders. A proactive, positive, and selfmotivated approach. Flexibility to support occasional evening/weekend events. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Experience within fundraising, education, events, or community engagement is beneficial but not essential.
