Position Summary A Deli Bakery Associate provides exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart, maintains and zones the Bakery and/or Deli area, and assists with stocking and the sale of goods. What You Will Do Zone the department to ensure product shelves, tables, and bunkers are organized and the product is in the correct location. Rotate stock and check for expired products. Ensure the merchandise is properly signed and priced. Adhere to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sellby dates, and expiration dates. Takes orders for Deli Department merchandise; prepares hot food merchandise and provides requested assistance. Prepare deli food orders utilizing utensils; cook chicken using the rotisserie oven; and fill prepared side dishes for placement into display area. Prepare bakery merchandise by accurately following thawing and baking guidelines to ensure the quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise, such as bread, cakes, pies, cookies, and rolls. Follow proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
