Job Description

Description As the Security Officer, you oversee security throughout the casino, ensuring guests and employees are secure and protected at all times. You create a comfortable environment where others feel the reassuring calm of your presence, protect the company from theft and fraud, and deliver a rocksolid commitment to customer service. At all times you are aware of the gaming operations and work under provincial gaming regulations while complying with all applicable laws, policies and procedures. Job Type: PartTime (Regular) Salary: $22.74/Hour to Start Benefits Full benefits package for fulltime employees Retirement savings plan Exciting, supportive and fun work environment Family and friends discounts on travel, tech, food, beverage, and fitness Development and training opportunities Key Responsibilities Maintain a presence on the gaming floor and respond to guest inquiries quickly. Control access to the facility and particularly to sensitive areas. Monitor alarm panels and control and issue keys. Write reports, maintain a daily log and conduct investigations. Provide First Aid and medical attention as required. What You Bring Minimum 6 months experience in a security role. Proven high level of customer service. Detailoriented and organized nature. Solid analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal. Current First Aid/CPR certification. Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario. Sensitivity in dealing with people and proactive in providing solutions. Good judgment and understanding of casino operations. Experience with computers and surveillance equipment. Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends. Completion of Gaming Security Officer (GSO) training/exam before start (employer will sponsor). Completion of ProTect and Deal Us Security Staff Training program within 30 days of start in Alberta. Smart Serve (Ontario) certificate before start date. Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Capacity to physically restrain and secure individuals using prescribed techniques. Social perceptiveness and good vision to identify people.
