We seek a candidate with substantive research expertise that speaks to contemporary matters and will foster undergraduate engagement. Areas may include, but are not limited to: sport, violence, religion, matters connected to science and technology, social/digital media, and emerging trends in AI. Successful candidates should also demonstrate promise and interest in teaching introductory sociology and social theory. We also welcome candidates who demonstrate interest in or capacity for providing students with experiential learning opportunitiessuch as communityengaged learning, applied or practicebased projects, and other forms of handson or fieldbased learning that connect sociological concepts to realworld contexts. Experience and Education Requirements Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in sociology, but ABD candidates with a scheduled dissertation defense may apply.
