Our client, a leading manufacturer specializing in custom electrical solutions, is seeking a SWBD Mechanical Assembler to join their dedicated team. As a SWBD Mechanical Assembler, you will be supporting the production of large switchboard structures and subassemblies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: SWBD Mechanical Assembler Location: Milton, ON Pay Range: $21 - $25 per hour (based on experience) Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Monday to Friday What''s the Job? Build large switchboard structures and subassemblies using pre-fabricated metal parts, following engineering schematics and electrical drawings. Mount and brace horizontal and vertical bus, risers, and bus supports inside structures in sequential order. Operate various manufacturing equipment, high power torque tools, jigs/fixtures, and fabrication machines such as punch presses and band saws. Construct pallets according to engineering design requirements. Inspect parts and materials before and after assembly for conformance to drawings, quality standards, and customer specifications, making mechanical adjustments as needed. What''s Needed? High aptitude for mechanical work with the ability to visualize and plan assembly based on engineering schematics and drawings. Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly using power tools. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and models. Proficiency with power tools, hardware, ladders, and pallet trucks.
