Job Description

We are looking for a Human Resources Manager to join our Toronto team while our current Manager goes on maternity leave for ~16 months.As our HR Manager, you will wear many hats and support our teams across Canada, USA and Europe by supporting employee growth, and ensuring our people programs are applied consistently and effectively across the company. An ideal candidate brings strong foundational HR experience, is an excellent communicator, and demonstrates solid judgment and a collaborative mindset. Solving problems, building relationships and supporting leaders will be a key aspect of this position and requires a strategic hand in creating an environment where people can do their best work. This role combines independent ownership of the HR function with close collaboration with leaders across the organization to serve as the first point of contact and create positive people experiences.Responsibilities:Drive the recruitment process for all positions attracting and retaining the right people who fit the culture and values, liaising with recruitment agencies where neededCoordinate and lead the onboarding process and new hire orientation for any new team membersMaintain and update job requirements and descriptions for all positionsEffectively plan, design, develop and evaluate HR related initiatives that support organizational strategic goalsSupervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development and performance managementManage benefit programs for Canada and USA and act as point of contact for both benefit providers and employeesTake a leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance with the companys mission and valuesExpertly maintain and oversee company use of HRISPlan team events to enhance employee experience and engagement across the global teamSupport a positive in-office experience by managing vendor relationships (e.g. lunch program providers), overseeing company swag and materials, and maintaining inventory of office supplies, snacks, and equipmentImplementation and ongoing management of company policies and procedures including monitoring flexible work policies, absences, and vacation practices to ensure consistencyRemain up to date and compliant with labour legislationDevelop and maintain employee handbookMaintain employee records and documentationServe as main point of contact for employee relations, requests, questions, etc.Liaise with all departments and management as neededRequired Qualifications and Skills:Bachelors University/College Degree or equivalent in Human Resources or similar field5 years of work experience in Human Resources, including recruiting, reporting, training, performance management and strategyPeople oriented and results drivenExperience supporting leadership and driving HR initiativesDemonstrable experience with Human Resources metricsKnowledge and experience of HR systems and databasesKnowledge of performance management systemsExcellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skillsExperience building and effectively managing interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company, in various locationsKnowledge of labour laws and HR best practices (Canada and USA)Time off: 3 weeks of paid vacation, approx. 2 weeks off during holiday period and extended long summer weekendsSchedule: hybrid work model (3 days in office) and flexible start/end timesCulture: supportive team environment and inclusive work forceSocial: semi-annual offsite social events, holiday and life celebrations, quarterly company wide all hands and moreAbout UsCluep is an AI company that helps brands advertise to people based on how they feel and what they see on social media.
