Technologist, Clinical Engineering Requisition ID: 219924 Department/Program: Clinical Engineering, Digital and Client Services Location: Halifax Start Date: 05/18/2026 Union Status: NS Labour Stand, Management on Union Bargaining Unit Compensation: $20/hour Closing Date: 3-May-26 (Applications accepted until 23:59 Atlantic Time) Opportunity Under the direction of the Manager, Clinical Engineering, and working with designated Team Leads, the Student Biomedical Technologist performs equipment management, documentation, and problem resolution services for all areas of the Health Centre. Hours of Work 37.5 hours weekly (MonFri 8 a.m.4 p.m.) Qualifications - Student of an Engineering Technology program (Accredited program preferred in fields of Electrical/Electronic/Biomedical) or related post-secondary program recognized by CCTT standards. - Registered as a student member with TechNova (or recognized certification body in student home province) is preferred. - Strong troubleshooting skills related to electronic and mechanical medical equipment. - Experience in medical technology & applications. - General electronics design/troubleshooting. - Use of hand tools and specialized test equipment. - Excellent communication skills. - Good vision and manual dexterity. - Good computer skills (database, spreadsheets, word processing, data entry, network configuration and troubleshooting, software installation, driver installation and testing, server management, hardware upgrades, etc.). - Ability to acquire and apply highly technical information on a continuing basis. - Customer service skills. - Safe working skills. - Valid Nova Scotia drivers license. - Network/Information Technology knowledge and experience is an asset.
