We are looking to recruit an experienced QA who will work closely with the team lead to ensure the release of stable software. This individual will actively participate in the testing and validation of new and existing functionalities. Key Responsibilities Lead the testing efforts for a cloud-based computation engine Leverage domain experience in geomodelling or earth modeling to identify testing gaps and adopt a geoscientist mindset. Able to design and execute domain workflows to validate the robustness of existing and new features Add to and improve existing testing frameworks Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring to less experienced team members Thrive to drive change, identify gaps and advocate QA best practices Present ways to reduce manual testing, to automate testing processes and to speed up the delivery of new features Become an expert user of the product, run regression test cases, and perform exploratory testing Align individual objectives with team and product objectives and understand the impact that their work has on the overall product quality Communicate information eloquently and in a way that moves the team forward Stay calm under pressure and have a positive attitude Create defects in ADO following published Landmark guidelines Create test cases for new functionality and bug fixes in ADO that include workflow steps, expected behavior, and validation criteria Key Qualifications 7+ years of experience testing on enterprise level applications Background in earth modeling or geomodelling Experience writing automated test cases Experience with cloud computing platforms and technologies, micro-services and big data analytics Experience working in an Agile environment Fast learner with excellent written and verbal skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary multi-cultural team in different time zones Able to clearly articulate issues when generating bugs and communicate properly with developers Experience working on modeling software Experience in the Oil & Gas industry Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at FPT Americas by 2x Get notified about new Quality Assurance Specialist jobs in Canada. #J-18808-Ljbffr
