Senior Electronics Designer / Technical Project LeadLocation: Richmond Hill, ONOur client is a leading manufacturer of medical and healthcare equipment solutions, supporting hospitals and healthcare facilities across North America and globally. They are seeking a hands-on Senior Electronics Designer / Technical Project Lead to support new product development, production troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Position OverviewA hands-on Electronics Engineering Lead who is comfortable operating between R&D, manufacturing, quality, and project management.This role is a hybrid combination of:33% Electrical Design33% Project Management / Technical Coordination33% Troubleshooting, CAPA & Quality SupportThe successful candidate will work closely with engineering, production, quality, and mechanical design teams to develop, improve, troubleshoot, and support electronic systems used in medical device and healthcare workstation products. This is an ideal opportunity for a technically strong and hands-on electronics professional who enjoys balancing product design, manufacturing support, project leadership, and problem solving.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Design (33%)Design and develop digital and analog electronic circuits for medical device accessories and mobile medical workstationsCreate schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer or similar CAD toolsSupport firmware coding, debugging, and embedded systems troubleshootingPerform circuit simulation, testing, validation, and design verificationSelect and evaluate electronic components and subsystemsDesign and develop automated test fixtures and test jigs for productionSupport compliance testing including EMC, EMI, ESD, EFT, Surge, UL, IEC, and related standardsProject Management & Technical Leadership (33%)Manage and coordinate small-to-medium engineering projects from concept through productionWork cross-functionally with mechanical engineering, production, purchasing, and quality teamsCoordinate with PCB manufacturers, suppliers, and external vendors for prototyping and production activitiesTrack project timelines, deliverables, and engineering changesProvide technical leadership and mentorship to Electrical Technologists and junior team membersAssist in building and developing the electronics engineering team over timeTroubleshooting / CAPA / Quality Support (33%)Support inbound and outbound quality investigations related to electronic assemblies and productsPerform root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA) on production and field issuesTroubleshoot electronic systems, PCB assemblies, firmware issues, and manufacturing defectsSupport continuous improvement and manufacturability initiativesWork closely with Quality and Production teams to improve product reliability and reduce failuresProvide technical support to manufacturing and service teams as requiredWhat we are Looking For?Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics design and PCB developmentExperience with Altium Designer or similar PCB design softwareP.Eng or Elgibility for P.Eng is a definite asset.Experience with embedded systems, firmware debugging, and electronic troubleshootingExcellent Communication skills with a strong personality to lead a team.Strong understanding of:AC-DC and DC-DC power conversionCircuit protection and compliance testingEMC / EMI / ESD requirementsExperience working with RFID, Ethernet, and WiFi technologiesExperience supporting manufacturing, production, or quality environmentsStrong project coordination and communication skillsAbility to lead discussions, drive corrective actions, and work effectively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent English communication skills (written and verbal)Preferred QualificationsExperience within medical device or healthcare product manufacturingKnowledge of:PSpiceMATLABPythonVisual Studio / VS CodeSQLC#Familiarity with mechanical CAD softwareP.Eng designation or eligibility is considered an assetWork EnvironmentFast-paced engineering and manufacturing environmentHands-on technical role with cross-functional exposureCombination of design, project coordination, and production supportOpportunity to contribute directly to product development and continuous improvement initiativesWhat we can offer:Location: Richmond Hill, ONCompensation: $90,000 $110,000 Base SalaryScheduled Hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to FridayBenefits: Full Benefits after 90 Days + 3 Weeks VacationWork Arrangement: Hybrid (3 Days In Office)Travel: 1020% Global TravelThis role pays a competitive total compensation ranging from $85,000 $110,000 per annum. Base Salary, Bonus, Profit Sharing and other compensation details will be discussed later in the recruitment process and can potentially exceed the above stated amount. The compensation is dependent on the candidate experience and educational profile and will be evaluated during the interview process.
