Tantalum Mining Corporation(Tanco) in Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba, is looking for a Instrumentation Technician *to join our team. Responsibilities * Provide expertise on special projects involving plant wide production control systems, including PLC programming to production to ensure system integrity and function. * Implement documentation and software upgrades as needed and manage document control and changes. * Must be familiar with ladder logic and control sequencing needed for trouble shooting. * Maintain backups, documentation, and software revisions on the control systems. * Assist in scheduling of maintenance and commissioning of the control systems. * Consult technical documentation, drawings, schematics, and manuals to understand and maintain equipment. * Assist engineering with plant design, modification, hazard analysis and optimize as required. * Maintains, modifies, installs, removes, and lubricates electrical and associated components, e.g., pneumatic controllers, switch gear, grounding, conductors, fans, drives and motors. * Maintains, installs, modifies, or removes electrical communications or signal systems. * Select a logical approach to trouble shooting and repair procedure. Makes field sketches and records revisions. * Plans working procedure and isolation of circuits. * The objective is to prevent issues before they occur while working with operators to determine any issues and solutions. This position will work closely with other maintenance team members and operations. Education/Experience * Red Seal Instrument Mechanic certification Skills * Work independently with minimal supervision. Physical Capabilities * Ability to lift, bend, twist in performing the functions. * Frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time. * Exposure to moderate noise and odors.
