They believe in fostering a supportive ecosystem where startups, investors, and industry leaders can grow and thrive together.Role Overview:The Head of Editorial and Media will lead the development of Company's media platform, responsible for building a trusted editorial voice while growing audience and partnerships. This is a leadership role for someone who understands how modern digital media works combining editorial integrity with strong distribution and audience growth.Core ResponsibilitiesProvide editorial leadership for Company's media platform, ensuring strong editorial standards, a clear voice, media law compliance and high-quality reporting that reflects the Canadian startup ecosystem.Lead the development and execution of Company's media strategy, including publishing cadence, contributor management, and overall newsroom discipline.Grow and engage a national audience of founders, investors, universities, and ecosystem partners through thoughtful distribution, partnerships, and digital channels.Development of media products such as newsletter and other formats that highlight startup progress and innovation across Canada.Meeting deadlines efficiently while keeping leadership updated to ensure full visibility and transparency.Build relationships with ecosystem partners, journalists and media relations to expand distribution and strengthen Company's presence across regional startup communities.Work with leadership to develop responsible sponsorships and partnerships that support the long-term sustainability of the media platform while maintaining editorial independence and trust.Track performance metrics and audience insights to guide editorial decisions and support the continued growth of the platform.What We're Looking For: Strong editorial judgement and writing abilityExperience building and operating digital media and newsletter platformsComfortability working with sponsorship and media partnerships while maintaining clear editorial separationUnderstanding of the Canadian startup and investor ecosystemAbility to think strategically about long-term media brand buildingWe are an equal opportunity employer and we welcome people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills.
