Our valued client, a major oil and gas operator, is seeking a Project Manager (FEL2 Heavy Civil & Mining) to join their Calgary team on a longterm contract. This role leads an integrated project team through Stage 2 development, driving safety, cost, schedule, and quality performance on capital projects in the $100300M range.MAIN FUNCTIONSLead a crossfunctional, integrated project team delivering heavy civil and mining projects in the $100300M range during Stage 2 (FEL2). Responsible for assembling the project team, driving competitive project performance, managing contractors, and stewarding the project through Gate reviews and earlyphase development.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESAssemble and lead an integrated project team with accountability for Safety, Quality, Cost, and ScheduleSet Gate dates and develop plans aligned with project objectives and operational constraintsEnsure FEL2 deliverables are completed on time and meet required quality standardsAlign stakeholders on project objectives, strategies, concept selection, schedule, cost, and value deliveryDrive project competitiveness through structured concept selection and optimizationWork with senior technical leads to define scope, risks, and mitigation strategiesDevelop the Project Road Map and secure stakeholder endorsementSteward project reviews, technical query resolution, and developmentphase budget managementMonitor and appraise preFEED/FEED contractor performance and support improvement plansDevelop project organization plans and ensure integration of discipline and functional inputsMaintain alignment on project basis documents and execution strategiesCalgarybased role with occasional travel to siteSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSBASc in Engineering AND active P.Eng in Alberta (mandatory) Eligibility is not sufficient must hold P.Eng at time of hireExperience managing capital projects in civil or mining during FEL2/FEL3Demonstrated leadership and personnel management capabilityStrong interpersonal and stakeholdermanagement skillsProficiency across core project management areas:Execution planningContracting & procurementCost estimatingProject controlsPlanning & schedulingOrganization designAbility to work across cultures and time zones
