We are looking for a Power System Engineer with strong experience in utility-scale electrical systems to support projects focused on high-voltage protection studies, grid reliability, and utility network simulations. In this role, you will work on simulation, protection system design, and technical documentation for large-scale electrical utilities, including Microgrid and generation protection projects.This position is on-site in Markham, OntarioKey ResponsibilitiesConduct power system studies and simulations using ASPEN, CAPE, and ETAP.Design and model protection and control systems for substations, transmission, and distribution networks.Configure and validate Omicron protection relays used in utility networks.Perform fault analysis, protection coordination, load flow, and stability studies for generation and high-voltage systems.Support grid integration and Microgrid interconnection projects.Prepare technical reports and documentation for utilities and grid operators.Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including utilities, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.Requirements45 years of experience in electrical power system engineering within utility environments (generation, transmission, or distribution).Strong knowledge of substation protection, generation protection, and transmission system stability.Hands-on experience with ASPEN, CAPE, and ETAP.Experience working with Omicron protection relays.Understanding of grid codes, utility regulations, and interconnection standards.Ability to manage technical tasks independently and communicate effectively within project teams.
