Job Description

Position Title Cardiologist with focus on General Cardiology and Echo (Vacant) Responsibilities Join a group of 50 cardiologists at UOHI. Work 1014 weeks on inpatient ward and outpatient services, and in the echo lab on a fractional share; participate in 4 weekend wards per year and regular echo oncall. Engage in academic activities, including informal bedside teaching of medical residents and formal teaching sessions such as morning report and academic halfday. Participate in current clinical research and support new projects within the Division. Qualifications MD degree; FRCPC certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in Cardiology. Completed fellowship training in Echocardiography at a recognized training center and hold Level III certification status. Member or eligible to be a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association; licensure in Ontario; eligible for an academic appointment as Assistant Professor or higher at the University of Ottawa. Strong academic interest in education, research or quality improvement, with experience teaching medical students and residents. Bilingual (French/English) candidate preferred. Additional Information Remuneration is derived from multiple sources including clinical billings, AFP salary, honorariums, and stipends.
