OverviewAs we move through a period of exciting transformation and organizational change, Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) has an immediate opening for a Lead, Corporate Strategies & Programs to join the Regulatory Transformation team.Under the authority of the Professional Engineers Act, PEO licenses and governs over 91,500 licence and certificate holders and regulates the practice of professional engineering in Ontario. PEOs mission is to regulate and advance the practice of engineering to protect the public interest. With a talented, multidisciplinary staff of over 100, PEOs vision is to be a trusted leader in professional self-regulation.Position Summary Reporting to the Director, Regulatory Transformation, with dotted line reporting to the CEO/Registrar, the role serves as a trusted advisor by providing clear, timely, and actionable insights that support PEOs strategic direction and ensure alignment across the organization.The Lead, Corporate Strategies & Programs will operate as an in-house management consultant, leading the full reporting process for strategic and operational plans.ResponsibilitiesEngage regularly with project leaders and cross-functional teams to scope, plan, and deliver business development and regulatory initiatives aligned with PEOs multi-year strategic plan.Build and sustain strong stakeholder relationships across the organization while supporting multi-departmental projects by aligning priorities and expectations, while ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule in support of strategic initiatives.Support Director, Regulatory Transformation with translation of policy and regulatory initiatives into clear business requirements, supporting effective project design, prioritization, and launch.Assess and quantify resource requirements (e.g., staffing, timelines, budgets) to support planning and delivery of strategic and regulatory projects.Act as a catalyst for change and transformation by identifying opportunities to optimize processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support long-term organizational success.Develop, implement, and maintain data collection frameworks, performance metrics, and KPIs to evaluate initiatives and inform decision-making.Responsible for the oversight of the governance scorecard and all the performance indicators tied to the multi-year strategic plan, and acts as an advisor to those accountable for the indicators.Conduct data analysis and synthesize insights to provide evidence-based recommendations aligned with organizational priorities.Establish and maintain consistent, timely, and comprehensive reporting mechanisms to track progress, outcomes, and risks across initiatives.Other duties as assigned.Skills and Knowledge:Executive-level communication and synthesis skills.Proficient in facilitating workshops, meetings, and presentations for senior leadership.Strong business acumen, with demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically, apply critical judgement and translate strategy into execution.Experience leading complex strategic and operational projects and programs.Ability to leverage business tools to enable project progress reporting.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Comfortable with ambiguity as the position evolves with time.Education/Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of strategy development experience, preferably at a consulting firm or in-house corporate strategy department.Consulting experience in a not-for-profit space is considered an asset.Relevant university degree is preferable in a business-related field.Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma, Project Management Professional (PMP), and CMC, is considered an asset.Hybrid Work EnvironmentWe have embraced hybrid working, and for us this means coming to the office at minimum twice a week.
