Position: Senior Penetration Tester Duration: 15 months assignment (contract) Client Location: Calgary ( Hybrid : 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday) Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement B2B (Incorporated Entities Only) Note on Assignment Type This position is provisionally Hybrid , requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). Conditions may change based on organizational requirements and at the discretion of the Hiring Manager. About the Engagement Akkodis is seeking an experienced Senior Penetration Tester to support a largescale Threat & Risk Assessment engagement within a securityrestricted environment. This role supports a dedicated Red Team mandate, delivering handson technical penetration testing across enterprise systems that underpin missioncritical justice and court services. The successful consultant will contribute directly to identifying, validating, and clearly communicating realworld security risks and remediation strategies. Role Summary The Senior Penetration Tester is responsible for executing indepth technical penetration tests and supporting the analysis, documentation, and reporting of identified vulnerabilities. The role requires strong handson expertise, disciplined adherence to rules of engagement, and the ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Execute handson penetration testing activities under the direction of the Red Team Leader Perform security testing across: Network infrastructure Web and application environments Cloud platforms Integrated and related systems Conduct social engineering assessments and support physical security testing where applicable Apply industrystandard penetration testing tools, techniques, and methodologies Document: Identified vulnerabilities Exploitation paths Risk ratings and impact Supporting evidence Contribute to professional penetrationtesting reports, presentations, and executive briefings Provide clear, actionable remediation recommendations aligned to risk severity Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all security policies, rules of engagement, and controlledenvironment requirements Mandatory Qualifications Minimum 6 years of experience performing penetrationtesting engagements Minimum 5 years of handson, technical penetrationtesting experience Demonstrated expertise in: Network penetration testing Application security testing Cloud security testing One or more recognized industry certifications, such as: OSCP GPEN or equivalent Ability to successfully obtain Enhanced Security Check (ESC) clearance Work Environment & Security Hybrid and onsite work within Alberta as required Engagement involves securityrestricted systems and environments Compliance with all applicable publicsector security, privacy, and confidentiality requirements is mandatory Important Engagement Information This is a businesstobusiness (B2B) professional services engagement Consultants must: Represent an incorporated entity Hold a valid business number Maintain appropriate insurance coverage Invoice for services rendered How to Apply Please submit your resume in confidence through the Akkodis application process.
