Job DescriptionWe are partnering with a fast-growing Canadian packaging manufacturer to hire a Financial Analyst Finance Transformation & AI. This role sits within the Finance department and is focused on core accounting responsibilities while simultaneously leading initiatives in automation, AI integration, and ERP transformation.This opportunity is well suited for an analytically driven, technology-curious professional who is early in their career and eager to help build something from the ground up. The role offers direct exposure to senior leadership, modern finance systems, and the kind of cross-functional work that accelerates careers quickly.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages, including income statement and balance sheet analysisPrepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and support month-end and year-end close processesSupport HST filings, government remittances, cash flow reporting, and working capital analysisAssist with cost accounting, job profitability analysis, and budgeting and forecasting within a manufacturing environmentLead Claude AI integration initiatives across the finance department to automate workflows, accelerate reporting, and eliminate manual inefficienciesIdentify repetitive accounting and administrative tasks and build standardized, AI-assisted processes for reporting, reconciliations, and documentationSupport the implementation and continuous improvement of a new ERP system, including testing, validation, and workflow redesignHelp develop digital dashboards, KPI reporting tools, and business intelligence outputs in collaboration with senior leadershipConduct financial and operational analyses to support business decision-making across operations, supply chain, and production teamsResearch and recommend new technologies that improve financial insight and operational efficiencyWhat Were Looking ForUniversity degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CPA designation or pursuit of CPA is considered an assetStrong interest in AI tools, automation, and technology - hands-on curiosity matters more than years of experience hereStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI, SQL, ERP systems, or automation platforms is a strong assetAnalytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentSelf-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset; someone who identifies a problem and moves to fix it without being askedAbility to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across departmentsManufacturing experience is considered an asset but is not requiredExceptional attention to detail and a process-improvement mindsetWhats OfferedCompetitive base compensationPerformance-based bonusBenefits packageDirect mentorship from the CFO/General Manager with real influence over systems, processes, and strategyExposure to ERP implementation, AI integration, and business transformation from day oneNext StepsOnly candidates selected for the next stage will be contacted.Our client is committed to diversity and inclusion and encourages applications from all qualified individuals.
