An Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical projects from inception to completion. They play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: - Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, schedule creation, resource allocation, and risk assessments. - Budget Management: Create and manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify costsaving opportunities. - Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate crossfunctional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors. - Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of electrical principles, CSA Canadian Electrical Code and industry standards. - Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project goals are met. - Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet specifications. - Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and enforce safety protocols on the job site. - ProblemSolving: Identify and resolve project issues and challenges in a timely manner. Education / Competency Requirements: - Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and budgeting. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong leadership and team management abilities. - Problemsolving and decisionmaking skills. - Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations. - Proficiency in relevant software tools: JDE, Procore. Work Experience Requirements: Experience in the construction industry is preferred: - Journeyperson Electrician - Construction Management - 5 years experience in the electrical ICI sector combined with supervisory and/or superintendents role. Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements: - Contract management. - Construction scheduling, planning, and execution. - Blueprint reading. - Project design interpretation. - Business operations processes. - Organization and time management. - Must be able to obtain a Level II Secret Clearance. - Willing and able to travel within NS. Intermediate User Skills: - Procore. - MS Office (Word, Excel, Project). - JD Edwards or an Oraclebased ERP system would be an asset.
