Senior HR AdvisorLocation: Hybrid- Minimum 3 days a week in Office (London, Ontario). Will consider remote applications. In this role, youll provide expert HR advisory support and deliver practical, high-quality guidance that helps drive positive outcomes and a great client experience. This role will:Owns delivery of HR advisory cases, including those that are complex and high-risk, ensuring advice is legislatively sound, practical, and aligned to best practice.Provides expert guidance on HR situations, including those that are complex, high-risk, and ambiguous, across a broad range of HR topics (ex. employee relations, discipline, terminations, accommodations, compliance).Interprets and applies to multi-jurisdictional employment legislation (provincial and federal).Acts as an escalation point for more complex or sensitive client inquiries as required.Owns client interactions end-to-end, ensuring clear, timely, and effective resolution of inquiries .Conducts deeper research and analysis where required, including use of legislation and case law to support recommendations.Maintains high standards of advisory quality, judgment, and consistency across interactions.Identifies patterns and recurring issues across client interactions and shares insights to influence improvements in service, content, and client support.Contributes to and influences development and refinement of advisory resources, tools, and guidance .Maintains up-to-date knowledge of HR legislation, trends, and best practices to inform advice and recommendations.About you:You have extensive experience providing HR advisory support that includes complex, ambiguous, and high-risk situations or where there is no clear precedent and sound judgment is required to determine the appropriate approach.You have deep knowledge of employment legislation across multiple provinces and federally, including employment standards, human rights, and occupational health and safety, and are highly confident interpreting and applying it in complex, ambiguous, and high-risk situations, including referencing relevant regulations and case law where appropriate.You are confident handling live complex and sensitive client interactions, asking insightful questions, identifying risks quickly, and providing clear, practical, and solution-oriented advice.You manage multiple priorities and complex cases simultaneously, maintaining quality, responsiveness, and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.You take ownership of outcomes, ensuring issues are fully understood, addressed, and resolved, particularly in situations requiring deeper analysis or nuanced judgment.You are comfortable making decisions in ambiguous situations, balancing legal risk, best practice, and client context without relying on predefined solutions.You have exceptional communication skills, able to clearly explain complex HR concepts, legislation, and risks in a way that clients understand and can confidently act on, adapting your approach to different client needs, situations, and levels of understanding.You are solution-oriented, able to present multiple options and approaches, helping clients make informed decisions that fit their specific context.You provide informal guidance and mentorship to peers, contributing to consistency and quality of advisory services.You stay current on HR trends, legislation, and how automation and AI are evolving the way work is delivered and actively adapt your approach to incorporate tools and improvements that enhance efficiency, consistency, and client experience.You identify patterns, risks, and recurring issues across client interactions and use these insights to influence improvements in advisory services, content, and client support.You consistently deliver a high-quality client experience, balancing speed, accuracy, and practical advice in every interaction.Education, certifications, and designationsA relevant degree in human resources, business, or a related field is helpful, or equivalent practical experience.Professional designations such as CHRP, CHRL, or CHRE are strongly preferred and expected at this level or in progress.We place greater emphasis on deep advisory expertise, sound judgment in complex and ambiguous situations, and the ability to apply knowledge in high-impact client scenarios and influence outcomes than on formal credentials alone.Experience working in unionized environments and labour relations is considered an asset.Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.Why choose us?
