The role involves preparing and analyzing financial statements, reconciling accounts, HST filing, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting audits, processing accounts payable and receivable, payroll management. The Accountant will collaborate with other members of the accounting department to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency while maintaining accurate financial records.QualificationsProficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and budgetingExperience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processingFamiliarity with financial software and tools; experience with SAGE ERP, Xero, QuickBooks or equivalent is an assetStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation (completed or in progress) is preferredExperience in media or related industries is an advantageCompensation & BenefitsSalary:CA$75,000.00 - CA$85,000.00 per yearThis is a full-time, 5 day/week (Monday-Friday), work-from-office role.The position is located in downtown Toronto between Bloor/Yonge and Bay Subway TTC stations.
