Employees benefit from a collaborative environment, exposure to complex mandates, and genuine long-term career opportunities within a well-established platform.Your New RoleAs Manager, Fund Accounting Real Assets, you will be a key member of the Real Assets Fund Accounting team, responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality NAVs and financial reporting for private real estate and private equity structures.You will lead, coach, and develop onshore and offshore team members while acting as a technical point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. The broader team comprises approximately 30 professionals across Toronto and the U.S. (Jersey City and Florida), supported by offshore resources.Key responsibilities include:Producing and reviewing NAV packages for real asset fundsProviding technical accounting and industry expertise internally and to clientsCoordinating with Operations, Financial Reporting, Tax, Investor Relations, and external auditorsManaging and overseeing the external audit processReviewing partnership agreements, PPMs, and fund documentationLeading the implementation of new fund structures within accounting systemsCoaching, training, and developing onshore and offshore staffReviewing trading and operational processes related to real assetsPreparing ad hoc reporting and supporting wider business initiativesThis role offers strong visibility and a clearly defined progression path, with scope to advance to Vice President and ultimately Executive Vice President over time.What Youll Need to SucceedBachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics5+ years of public and/or private accounting experience7+ years experience within real estate and/or private equityStrong knowledge of GAAP and IFRSExperience with fair value reporting for real estate investments and debt structuresPractical experience with private equity and real estate fund accountingExposure to multi-family and commercial real estate accountingExperience preparing full sets of financial statements, including notesDemonstrated leadership and staff management experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlinesExperience using accounting systems such as Yardi, MRI, Investran, or similarAdvanced Excel skillsWhat Youll Get in ReturnBase salary: $115,000$128,000 plus bonusRetirement: 5% RSP matchTime off: 20 days vacation plus 3 personal daysBenefits: Comprehensive benefits packageHybrid working: 3 days per week in the office Increased in-office presence expected during the first 23 months to support onboarding and collaborationCareer development: Strong internal mobility with a track record of promotion into senior leadership rolesCulture & engagement: Monthly team events, town halls, team-building activities, and seasonal social eventsLeadership stability: Highly experienced leadership team with long average tenureTravel is minimal to none.What you need to do nowIf you meet all the requirements for this role, please apply quoting reference number: 1124859.
