This strategic leadership role is responsible for leading health economics, workforce analytics, and labour market analysis initiatives that support organizational strategy, workforce planning, collective bargaining, and executive decision-making within a complex publicly funded healthcare environment.The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in health system analytics, workforce planning, labour market analysis, and strategic advisory work within healthcare, public sector, or unionized environments. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, executive communication skills, and the ability to translate complex economic and workforce data into actionable insights.ResponsibilitiesLead health economics and workforce analytics initiatives supporting organizational strategy and decision-making.Manage and mentor a specialized economics and research team, including priority setting, coaching, and performance management.Develop workforce planning models, labour market analysis frameworks, and compensation analysis tools.Conduct scenario planning and strategic analysis related to workforce sustainability, labour shortages, and compensation structures.Provide analytical support for collective bargaining, including negotiation preparation, mandate development, and real-time bargaining support.Analyze healthcare workforce, labour market, compensation, and system funding trendsPrepare executive briefing materials, reports, and strategic recommendations for senior leadership and stakeholders.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across healthcare and government environments.Translate complex healthcare economic and workforce data into clear, actionable business insights.Support long-term strategic planning and workforce sustainability initiatives.Requirements10+ years of progressive experience in health economics, workforce analytics, health system analysis, labour market analysis, or related fields.Experience working within publicly funded healthcare systems, public sector organizations, unions, or member-based organizations.Strong understanding of workforce planning, labour market dynamics, and compensation analysis.Experience supporting strategic planning, policy development, or collective bargaining initiatives.Strong understanding of healthcare systems, governance structures, and funding models.Demonstrated experience leading analytical or research teams.Advanced analytical, modelling, and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.Ability to work independently in a complex and evolving environment.Masters degree in Economics, Health Policy, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.If you have the necessary expertise and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
