About the OpportunityWe are partnering with a growing, privately held organization to find a hands-on accounting professional to take ownership of the full accounting function.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and enjoys operating as a standalone accounting lead, supporting both daily operations and financial decision-making.The RoleThis position sits between a traditional Bookkeeper and an Accountant. You will be responsible for full-cycle accounting, while also contributing to process improvement initiatives and system enhancements.Youll have high visibility within the organization and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial information to support leadership.Key ResponsibilitiesManage full-cycle accounting including AP, AR, journal entries, and reconciliationsOwn the month-end close process and prepare financial statements (ASPE)Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in a cloud-based systemPrepare cash flow reporting and support weekly payables planningHandle inventory and cost accounting, including reconciliations and adjustmentsEnsure compliance with indirect tax filings and other regulatory requirementsSupport payroll processes and related reportingAssist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisCollaborate with external advisors as neededSupport an upcoming ERP system implementationExperience5+ years of full-cycle accounting experienceExperience in product-based, inventory-driven, or operational environmentsStrong understanding of:Month-end closeFinancial reportingInventory / cost accountingTechnical SkillsExperience with cloud-based accounting systems (e.g., Xero or similar)Strong Excel skillsERP exposure; implementation experience is an assetProfile FitComfortable operating as a one-person accounting functionHands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to work in the weedsAdaptable and thrives in an ever-changing environmentLow ego, team-oriented, and collaborativeStrong sense of ownership and accountabilityProcess-minded with a continuous improvement mindsetWhy Consider This Role?High ownership and autonomy within the accounting functionOpportunity to influence systems, processes, and structureExposure to ERP implementation and scaling operationsCollaborative leadership team and entrepreneurial culture
