Our client in the automotive manufacturing sector is seeking a Payroll Support Specialist, HR Systems to join their growing HRIS and Payroll Systems team. This role will support Payroll and HR operations across Canadian and U.S. business units, with a primary focus on Dayforce Payroll and Time & Attendance modules.Location: Hybrid AuroraResponsibilitiesProvide advanced support and configuration for payroll and timekeeping systemsMaintain and enhance Dayforce Payroll and Time & Attendance configurationsSupport payroll operations and employee data processes across multiple jurisdictionsTroubleshoot and resolve payroll and HRIS-related issuesConduct root cause analysis and collaborate with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teamsDesign and maintain payroll configuration rules, calculations, earnings, and deductionsEnsure payroll system compliance with legislative and regulatory requirementsSupport payroll structure changes, implementations, and legislative updatesConfigure and maintain payroll-to-general ledger mappings and financial integrationsSupport payroll reconciliation, reporting, and audit requirementsMaintain system documentation, process guides, and configuration recordsParticipate in system upgrades, testing, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiativesRequirements35 years of experience in payroll, HR systems, or HRIS support rolesStrong knowledge of payroll processes, employee lifecycle data, and timekeeping operationsExperience supporting or configuring HRIS/payroll systems; Dayforce experience preferredKnowledge of payroll legislation and compliance practices across Canadian and/or U.S. jurisdictionsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentDiploma or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fieldNice to HaveExperience with Dayforce Payroll and Time & Attendance modulesExposure to payroll GL integrations and financial mappingExperience supporting HRIS implementations or enhancementsUnderstanding of HR operations and employee data management best practices
