Pay: CA$27.94 per hourJob description:Job Description: Lead Machine operator -Location Orangeville ONCompensation: $27.94/hr (plus night shift premium)Schedule: 12-hour continental shifts between days and nightsRole PurposeThe Lead Operator is responsible for overseeing equipment operation, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating line staffing to ensure seamless production cycles.Core ResponsibilitiesSafety & ComplianceAdhere to all Job Safety Analysis (JSA) policies.Report and investigate safety incidents, injuries, or near-misses.Maintain 5S standards in all assigned work areas.Quality & Technical OperationsPerform accurate and timely quality checks.Manage Out of Spec (OOS) conditions and lead Non-Conformance procedures.Operate industrial equipment within established parameters and utilize the Out of Centerline process.Troubleshoot process issues and perform CIL/AM (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication / Autonomous Maintenance) activities.Leadership & CoordinationStaffing: Coordinate line personnel to cover breaks, training, and maintenance.Transitions: Lead the equipment changeover and shift handover processes.Continuous Improvement: Participate in Kaizen events and other CI/FI initiatives.Documentation: Record all shift actions, including root cause analysis and corrective measures.QualificationsCommunication: Professional verbal and written skills.Technical Knowledge:2-3 years of of industrial machinery.Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Email).Soft Skills: A positive attitude with a strong commitment to team collaboration.
