DescriptionThe Project Cost Controller works in close collaboration with all members of the team to keep the budget information as accurate and updated as possible. The individual will closely work with the project control team to make sure forecast are followed properly. Presentations will need to be prepared monthly to inform the upper management of the current cost situation. To prepare for these presentations, the project Cost Controller will meet with the responsible of every department to get their input and cues on any potential unbudgeted cost. The individual could be asked to visit the different work sites to get a better understanding of the project and its progress. The Cost Controller will need to understand the project in depth, analyze the data provided to then determine the projects financial health. ResponsibilitiesUpdate & analyze monthly Budget by extracting data from SAP / JDEOrganize work session to update Estimate to Complete (ETC) with the team members Analyze and correct financial estimatesPrepare Powerpoint presentations for ManagementUnderstand & prepare documentation for Project overrunsTrack & prepare documentation regarding usage of Contingency Track and follow up on CGMs (Project scope changes)Codify change orders using the proper budgetary informationUnderstand and analyze performance indicators to establish projects financial healthCompare monthly actuals with budget and explain variance RequirementsAdministration, finance, or engineering degreeCPA designation is an asset1-3 years in a similar role Bilingual; English & French Highly skilled in Microsoft Excel experience working with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key functionsExperience with SAP / JDE (Oracle program)Excellent communication, problem solving and attention to detail skillsDemonstrated willingness to learnAbility to work both independently and in a team environment.Compensation: $50.00 to $60.00/ hr (negotiable based on experience) 12 month contract to start potential for Full Time Permanent
