This role is responsible for processing, analyzing, and managing LiDAR datasets to support surveying, engineering, construction, and mapping projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in point cloud processing, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a production-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:Process raw LiDAR data (LAS/LAZ files) into usable deliverablesPerform point cloud classification (ground, vegetation, structures, utilities, etc.)Generate Digital Elevation Models (DEM), Digital Terrain Models (DTM), and contoursConduct quality control and quality assurance checks on LiDAR datasetsAlign, calibrate, and register point clouds from multiple sourcesExtract features such as breaklines, buildings, and infrastructureWork with aerial and mobile LiDAR systemsIntegrate LiDAR data with GIS and CAD platformsTroubleshoot processing issues and improve workflowsMaintain organized project files and documentation - Collaborate with surveyors, engineers, and GIS professionalsQualifications:Associates or Bachelors degree in Geomatics, Surveying, GIS, or related field (preferred)2+ years of experience processing LiDAR dataProficiency with software such as DJI Terra, Trimble Business Center, Cyclone, etc.Strong understanding of coordinate systems and geospatial conceptsExperience with CAD (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) and GIS platformsAbility to interpret survey data and field notesStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skills - Ability to meet deadlines in a production environmentExperience with UAV/drone LiDAR data processing (preferred)Knowledge of scripting (Python or similar) (preferred)Familiarity with photogrammetry workflows (preferred)Experience with mobile LiDAR systems (preferred)Understanding of surveying principles and workflows (preferred)'We are an equal opportunity employer committed to employment equity utilizing hiring practices on merit and business needs.
