HCR Permanent Search is currently recruiting for a Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist and Training Leader on behalf of manufacturing client in Oxford County.This role is responsible for leading employee training, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental legislation, and supporting multisite HSE initiatives.Work Setting:Corporate office + frequent plant visitsShift Schedule:Days, with flexibility for occasional offhour needsLocation:Oxford County, OntarioKey Responsibilities:Lead all HSErelated training activities across multiple sitesDevelop training materials, presentations, and structured programsEnsure compliance with all internal and external training and safety requirementsStandardize training processes across departmentsSupport OHSE reporting, documentation, and regulatory complianceSupport audits, PPE management, and apprenticeship program activitiesConduct new hire orientations, safety onboarding, and refresher trainingTrack training metrics and prepare performance reportsSupport JHSC activities and followup actionsAssist with emergency response planning and drillsEvaluate training effectiveness and implement improvementsMaintain training schedules and coordinate with external providersAssist with policy updates, incident documentation, and corrective actionsSupport returntowork training accommodationsPerform other duties as requiredQualifications:Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Environmental Studies13 years of HSE experience, preferably in manufacturingStrong communication, presentation, and organizational skillsProficiency in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of ergonomic principlesStrong understanding of OHSA, EPA, and WSIA regulationsAbility to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesAccess to a vehicle for travel between sitesAssets: JHSC Certification (Levels 1 & 2), CRSP/CRST designationWhy Join?Opportunity to lead impactful HSE and training programsMultisite exposure within a stable manufacturing environmentSupportive leadership and room for professional growthApply Now!If you believe you are an outstanding candidate for this opportunity, please submit your resume in confidence to:Crystal LengPlease include the position title in the subject line.
