Job Description

The Finance Manager, Canada provides financial and analytical support for the assigned country/region. This role is responsible for leading a team of five, including two Senior Accountants and three AR, Credit, and Collections specialists, and ensuring the team operates effectively and in alignment with business objectives.The role is accountable for monthly financial reporting in accordance with U.S. and local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), supporting the annual budgeting process, quarterly financial forecasts, KPI reporting, local statutory reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis.The Finance Manager partners closely with Commercial, Operational, and Functional stakeholders to support sound business decisionmaking and financial discipline. Serving as the overall financial authority for the country, this role plays a key part in ensuring reporting accuracy, regulatory compliance, efficient processes, and continuous improvement.Essential Functions:Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow, to support business decision-making.Support the timely execution of the monthly financial close process in accordance with U.S. GAAP, local GAAP, and internal policies and procedures.Assist with local statutory reporting requirements and support external audits and tax filings in coordination with corporate and external advisors.Maintain appropriate documentation to support government, internal, and external audit requirements.Support business planning activities, including preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.Provide periodic financial performance updates, including analysis of variances versus plan and forecast.Assist with internal KPI calculations and reporting.Provide financial analysis and operational insight to Commercial, Operational, and Functional leaders to support cost management, profitability, and performance improvement.Analyze costs, expenses, and operational drivers to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency.Support capital expenditure planning by assisting with business case preparation, spend tracking, and financial analysis.Identify opportunities to simplify financial processes, improve internal controls, and enhance reporting efficiency.Support standardization of procedures and effective use of financial systems and tools in alignment with our practices.Provide financial support during the integration of newly acquired businesses into reporting and control frameworks.Foster strong working relationships across functions to support collaboration and shared accountability.Mentor or guide junior finance or accounting staff as needed.Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on service, accuracy, and continuous improvement.Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsEducation:Bachelors degree in finance / accounting.
