Job Description

4 days in office Montreal or Quebec office The financial analyst is involved in preparing the monthly financial statements and the various financial management reports the team is responsible for. The incumbent must ensure that the financial information included in the financial statements is adequate and errorfree so that it can be used by management to make informed decisions. You Will Be Focusing On Prepare monthly financial statements, perform detailed analysis, and explain variances. Review and analyze alternative fee arrangement in collaboration with client portfolio managers and ensure proper followup and accounting treatment. Conduct monthly accounts receivable analyses to determine and recommend allowances for doubtful accounts as well as workinprogress (WIP) writedowns. Monitor capital asset purchases and related lease obligations and ensure accurate accounting treatment. Prepare and/or review various management reports. Review monthly bank reconciliations for general bank accounts and trust accounts. Review daily cash reports. Prepare monthly sales tax returns. Prepare yearend tax files for various entities. Perform various analysis for the firms different business services. Actively participate in the preparation and management of yearend audit files. What You Bring To The Role Bachelors degree in finance or accounting CPA designation or in progress Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position Ability to work under pressure in a demanding, fastpaced environment with tight deadlines Experience in a multicurrency and multientity environment. Excellent knowledge of Excel Strong team spirit and customerservice oriented. Knowledge of SAP is an asset.
