Summary Of DutiesReporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department works in collaboration with the entire health care team, the patient and family. Responsible for primary care of Emergency/Trauma patients, the main functions of the RN include, but are not limited to: assessment, intervention, education and patient advocacy. The RN supports the Philosophy of Person-Focused Care concept and principles and the Mission and Values of Sunnybrook. The RN works closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team.Qualifications/SkillsCurrent registration with the Ontario College of NursesBaccalaureate degree in Nursing preferredCurrent B.C.L.S.Current A.C.L.S.
