Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Roofing Service Manager to lead our service department. This is a handson leadership position responsible for driving profitability, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring safe, highquality roofing repairs and maintenance on commercial projects. Key Responsibilities Lead, train, and supervise the service department team (technicians, foremen, and support staff) Generate sales through customer relationships, prospecting, and preparing competitive proposals Oversee all service work from initial call estimate repair/maintenance billing and followup Schedule and dispatch crews, manage workflow, track job costs, and ensure projects stay on budget Maintain strong communication with customers, crews, production teams, and management Enforce strict adherence to company and OSHA safety standards Recruit, train, mentor, and retain a skilled and dependable service workforce Monitor department finances: review job costs, approve invoicing, manage receivables, and control budgets Stay current on roofing systems, materials, codes, and industry best practices Daily Tasks Meet with technicians to plan the days work Visit job sites to ensure quality and safety Handle customer calls, perform roof inspections, and sell service agreements/repairs Build estimates and proposals Coordinate material orders and equipment needs Review time sheets, job costs, and invoices Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of commercial roofing production/supervision experience Valid drivers license and clean driving record Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems (TPO, EPDM, Modified Bitumen, Metal, etc.) Proven safety leadership and knowledge of IHSA regulations Proficient with technology (phones, tablets, CRM/job management software) Excellent communication and customer service skills Fluent in English Who Succeeds in This Role Youre a natural leader who can motivate crews, close sales, solve problems on the roof, and keep customers happy.
