OverviewAccount Executive, Public Sector - Western CanadaLocation: Remote anywhere in Canada (preferably Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton). Travel: approx. 50%.Join Axon and be a Force for Good. We work to advance safety and justice through our ecosystem of devices and cloud software, valuing candor, care, and diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and colleagues.What Youll DoDevelop and Execute Account Strategies: Create comprehensive account strategies that align Axons solutions with the needs of small to mid-sized public safety agencies, focusing on officer safety, operational efficiency, and digital transformation. Collaborate with other internal account team members.Drive Complex Sales Engagements: Manage long sales cycles, lead high-value, multi-year agreements, facilitate discovery meetings, present Axons value propositions, and lead customer negotiations.Help increase market share: Maximize revenue and customer satisfaction within designated agencies.Support Public Safety Innovation: Partner with internal teams to present Axons public safety technologies (e.g., TASER 10, Axon Fleet, Axon Body 4, Axon Evidence, Axon VR training) and demonstrate how these solutions transform agency operations.Manage Customer Relationships: Cultivate relationships with executive and operational leaders within public safety agencies and ensure proactive engagement and problem-solving for a seamless customer experience.Champion Public Safety Outcomes: Position Axon as a key enabler of public safety initiatives, helping agencies meet operational and safety goals while enhancing transparency and accountability.Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work with customer success, engineering, and program management to ensure on-time delivery and measurable value for customers.Accurate CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date records in Salesforce and use data to drive proactive sales strategies and visibility for internal stakeholders.Key Performance IndicatorsRevenue Growth: Achieve or exceed annual revenue targets with small to medium public safety agencies.Market Penetration: Expand Axons solutions across Canadas public safety agencies, securing new contracts and expanding in existing accounts within the first year.Strategic Solution Selling: Identify and address agencies pain points with Axons product suite (Records, Fleet, Evidence). Develop tailored solutions to improve officer safety, transparency, and workflows.Executive Relationships: Build high-trust relationships with senior leaders (Chiefs of Police, Deputy Chiefs, CIOs) and position Axon as a long-term partner.Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams to ensure customer success, delivering on project commitments and serving as a Canadian customer advocate.Contract & Negotiation Leadership: Lead proposals and negotiations for contracts with long-term engagements.Customer Feedback Loop: Gather actionable insights to inform product development; contribute actionable feedback with Customer Success.Retention & Expansion: Aim for 95%+ retention and identify upsell opportunities (e.g., VR training, in-car video) within 12 months.Forecasting Accuracy: Deliver data-driven forecasts with 90%+ accuracy and maintain transparent communication with leadership.What Youll BringTrack Record of Success: Proven experience exceeding sales targets in complex, consultative sales environments, particularly in public safety, SaaS, or cloud-based solutions.Public Safety Sales Experience: Deep understanding of municipal procurement and public safety technology; ability to navigate complex deals.Solution-Oriented Mindset: Ability to translate customer needs into innovative Axon solutions that enhance public safety and efficiency.Technical Acumen: Familiarity with cloud computing and SaaS; experience with digital evidence management or related public safety IT initiatives preferred.Collaborative Leadership: Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver high-impact customer solutions; multi-stakeholder project leadership is a plus.Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 50% across Western Canada.Compensation and BenefitsAxon is a total compensation company with a base salary, bonus and stock awards.
