Opportunity The RDT Specification Specialist will collaborate closely with external suppliers, Purchasing, Product Development, Manufacturing and Quality team members to load the SAP system with accurate and complete information. Maple Leaf Foods maintains a comprehensive SAP Recipe Development (RD) and Quality Management (QM) database that includes technical product data, quality, manufacturing, packaging, process technology, auditing SOPs and regulatory information. Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life Work directly with ingredient and packaging suppliers to ensure proper documentation of all incoming materials is obtained Screen technical information related to ingredients and packaging for accuracy and completeness Communicate with suppliers to gather necessary documentation, following up where necessary Research and source material information from legacy sources Analyze Bill of Materials (BOMs) and legacy documentation Create and maintain specifications using the SAP Recipe Development system based on supplier-provided information Conduct validation sessions with Product Developers, Packaging Technologists, Regulatory and Quality Assurance teams Manage projects, track scope and completion rates, and communicate progress Leverage SAP RD reports to identify opportunities for standardization, detect potential inconsistencies, and find missing data Support the training of manufacturing personnel on system and data structure Participate in weekly meetings with crossfunctional business partners to provide status updates and ask questions What Youll Bring Exceptional problemsolving, troubleshooting and analytical skills; processthinking capability is a must Resultsoriented and able to contribute as a team member Strong communication skills, both in person and written A selfstarter who can prioritize, manage time, and pay attention to detail Proficient in using multiple systems simultaneously Proactive, performancedriven, and able to work under pressure in a fastpaced, dynamic environment French language proficiency is an asset University degree in a related discipline (e.g., Food Science, Quality Assurance, Nutrition, or a College Diploma in Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance) What We Offer A highperformance, peoplefocused company with a vision to become the most sustainable protein company on earth An inclusive culture that rewards excellence, encourages learning, and empowers employees to contribute their best The above base salary reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting.
