Job DescriptionThe Advanced Customer Service Technician will operate within our customers facilities performing the maintenance function per the Intelligrated contract. The Advanced Customer Service Technician is critical to the smooth operation of our customers distribution centers and will be required to perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of our customers various material handling systems. The Advanced Customer Service Technician will take the initiative to coordinate with other departments the activities required for the safe and satisfactory completion of any job tasks. The Advanced Customer Service Technician will represent Intelligrated on site and will also need to follow our customers guidelines for general work practices outlined on site.Given that we provide 24/7 service to our client, it is a term of your employment that you be available to work different shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, and weekends. Initially, you will be assigned to work the (day/afternoon/nights/weekend) shift but shift assignments may change from time to time without advance notice depending on staffing and operational requirements.ResponsibilitiesCompletes work orders, records, logs and other written or computer-based documents according to established proceduresDiagnose problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g., multi-meters, laptop)Follow appropriate LOTO safety procedures and use of PPE while maintaining equipment and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazardsAssists other Technicians in troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of the distribution centers material handling equipment conveyor systemOperates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment as neededPerforms preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment according to safety and quality procedures, experienced with Control Panels, PLCs and VFDsCan assist in the development of specific technical and training documentationProvides resolutions to mechanical, technical/controls issues; documents all information relating to customer support issues in CMMS and Dashboard database; utilizes resources in other departments (when necessary) to expedite the resolution of conveyor related issuesProvides information to the Customer Service Department and other members of management to enhance Customer Service successFollows up with customers and other departments to ensure issues have been resolvedParticipates in cleaning the conveyor systems, maintenance shop area, and part cage as appropriateMaintains inventory of company supplied tools and PPECompletes appropriate paperwork in a timely mannerAdheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures and safety requirements while contributing to improvementAble to diagnose and repair equipment with little assistanceHas strong understanding of machine controlsAnalyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an action plan/RAIL to support the changePerform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned from time to timeAbility to work at heights using fall protection PPEOccasionally address any incidental electrical issues.Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as requiredWilling to work overtime as neededSome travel may be required but is not mandatory / this is for training purposes; this may be strongly encouraged to help develop skills & learn networking across the many avenues Honeywell has to offer.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required4+ years of mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience4+ years of electrical troubleshooting and repair experience4+ years of experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Physical Job RequirementsThe ability to lift 25 pounds individually and 50 pounds as a twoperson teamThe ability to carry required tools and tool bag (1015 lbs) regularly for extended periods and distances.The ability to spend long periods of time standing and / or walking on concrete and other surfaces.The ability to work above your head for an extended period of time while standing, laying, or seated (e.g., 30 mins). The ability to lift weights listed above your head.The ability to move safely in confined spaces which may require crawling on hands and knees.The ability to safely climb / descend ladders and stairs frequently.The ability to work on a ladder for extended periods of time.The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly, to include but not limited to; safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses / goggles / face shield, hearing protection, safety harness, chemical and/or cut resistant gloves.The job requires physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, dexterity, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.SalaryThe annual base salary range for this position is $83,200$95,000 in Mississauga, ON. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
