Overview Oak Valley Health will be hosting an open house for RNs interested in Emergency Department Nursing on Tuesday, April 23rd @ 2:00 pm Responsibilities Use this as an opportunity to learn more about the inner workings of the department, different learning and growth opportunities, and the amazing culture! Requirements Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses. Current BCLS certification and motivation to complete your ACLS certification within 6 months. Minimum 2 years of recent emergency department experience. Completion of an accredited college Coronary Care 1 program or proof of demonstrated current enrollment or equivalent required, or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire. RNAO membership is preferred. Initiative Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards. Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organizationrelated policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required. Proficiency Critical Care Certificate and/or ENC(C) is a definite asset. TNCC and ENPC certification are highly recommended. Excellent physical assessment skills; Physical Assessment. Proficient computer skills. Skills Demonstrated commitment to a patient/familycentred care environment. Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problemsolving skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently. Welldeveloped organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills.
