Job Details Title: Associate Physician Location: Peter Lougheed Centre, Calgary Zone Schedule: 1012.5 hour shifts; days, evenings, nights, weekends, oncall Salary: $26.97$66.51 per hour Associate Physician Responsibilities Deliver care to patients at the Rockyview General Hospital, Peter Lougheed Centre, South Health Campus, Foothills Medical Centre, and Alberta Childrens Hospital within a multidisciplinary team in the Department of Surgery, Orthopedic and General Surgery. Required Qualifications Eligibility to work in Canada (Canadian citizens, permanent residents, open work permits). English Language Proficiency: Academic IELTS, minimum 7.0 in each component, results certified. Medical Degree and Transcripts from a medical school outside Canada and the USA listed in FAIMERs International Medical Directory (IMD). Postgraduate Medical Education: at least one full year of handson training outside Canada/USA. Additional Required Qualifications Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination Part I (MCCQE1) must have passed prior to application. Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) under the Limited Practice Registry for supervised practice. Currency of practice: within the last three years must have practiced independently, been in a regulated, supervised practice (role not most responsible physician), or completed continuous postgraduate training for at least one year. Fellowship or other service roles do not satisfy this requirement. Submit a Curriculum Vitae and an Associate Physician Eligibility PreScreen Letter from AHS. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Preferred Qualifications Recent experience in an acutecare facility, especially within the last three years in surgery.
