Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced - Diagnostic Imaging Req ID: 220552 Location: Eastern Zone, New Waterford Consolidated Hospital Department: OPEZ Electrodiagnostic Lab NW Type of Employment: Permanent, Hourly FT (100%) x 1 Posting Closing Date: 21-May-26 About the Opportunity The Registered Cardiology Technologist performs noninvasive cardiac diagnostic tests including Electrocardiograms, Signal Average Electrocardiograms, Ambulatory Monitoring (Holter Scanning/Interpretation Event Loop Recorder), and physician-assisted Exercise Tolerance Testing (Stress Testing). The Technologist prepares patients for ambulatory monitoring, prepares patients requiring stress and tilt table testing, and performs stress tests under the direct supervision of the Cardiologist. The Technologist will also be responsible for precepting/mentoring all new learners in the department. Travel to other sites may be required. About You - Grade 12 plus successful completion of a Cardiology Technology program or acceptable equivalent - Current registration and good standing with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (or consideration may be given to those currently enrolled in a Cardiology Technology program) - Current BLS(HCP) certification - Recent clinical experience in an ECG Department and demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs, Holter Monitors (includes scanning) and Stress Testing, ambulatory blood pressure monitors and assisting in Pacemaker/ICD clinics - Strong sense of initiative and responsibility - Ability to adapt to a flexible workload and stressful situations - Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Hours Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly Compensation and Benefits Registered Cardiology Technologist Advanced: $32.48 - $36.65 hourly Unregistered Cardiology Technologist: $24.24 - $27.77 hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as defined benefit pension plan.
