Position Summary Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Security, this position is responsible for the safety and protection of team members, guests, the facility (both internal and external), and the company's assets while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all. The incumbent ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example, and supports Great Canadian Entertainments learning environment. Key Accountabilities Monitors, documents, and prepares statements and/or reports on violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, and suspicious persons or activities Enforces restricted access by unauthorized persons Observes transactions, pulls, fills, transfers, etc. Escorts cash and cash equivalents Tags and reports found property and transfers items to Lost and Found Conducts regular patrols of the facility interior and exterior as directed Escorts guests and team members as directed Performs identification checks as required Refers disputes to the Supervisor, Security Performs crowd control as directed May perform electronic surveillance of nongaming facilities, including exterior and adjacent properties at some locations May enroll guests in the SelfExclusion Program Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments Builds strong working relationships with guests and team members Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations Performs other duties as assigned or directed Education and Qualifications Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including overnights, weekends, and holidays Minimum 2 years of work experience Serving it Right Certificate Security license (an asset) Guard Force Training (an asset) Occupational First Aid Level 2 Certificate (an asset) Must be willing to recertify every 3 years for Use of Force Certification Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License Work Environment Considerations Regular casino environment; standing and walking for long periods of time and nontraditional work hours Equal Employment Opportunity We are committed to promoting an inclusive, accessible environment, where all employees and customers feel valued, respected, and supported.
