Job Location BRANTFORD MIX CENTER Greater Toronto Fulfillment Centre (GTFC), Brantford, Ontario. Automation Team Leader We are looking for an Automation Team Leader to join our team in Brantford, Ontario at the Greater Toronto Fulfillment Centre. The role requires onshift work that may include early morning, evening, and overnight shifts. Responsibilities All results on their shift automated warehouse processing area. Lead a team of equipment owners and develop systems to eliminate losses and create sustainable results. Build longterm capability in the area, systems, and technicians and implement daily systems that enable production of the highest quality products. Manage, coach, and build capabilities in line/processing area technicians. Identify, prioritize, analyze, and eliminate line losses and inefficiencies. Deliver and start up new equipment, initiatives, and projects. Collaborate with technical experts, other functions, and other manufacturing sites to create best solutions. Create and improve standards and systems to help achieve performance targets for the production line or processing area. Drive Operational Excellence by understanding and driving the proper execution of HS&E and Quality foundations. Own and manage a DMS for the line. Act as a coach for the EO to drive progress, perfect execution of the SWP and improve standards. Propose and implement solutions that streamline processes, eliminate failures, and reduce manual intervention. Facilitate integration of new digital tools and technologies within the team. Provide training and support to team members on the effective use of digital solutions to ensure wide adoption. Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of digital systems and processes. Qualifications Minimum of a high school diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, warehouse or similar industry managing people. Good leadership, communication, and coaching skills. Ability to set standards, model, coach, teach, and set technical direction. Collaboration: ability to work across disciplines and departments to build consensus and align technical directions, with experience using a variety of influencing skills. Physical Requirements Lift, lower, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 lbs. Flex, extend, and rotate neck. Ability to work at heights and climb stairs, ladders, platforms, etc., on and around equipment. Stand, sit, or walk for long periods. Surfaces: concrete, gravel, asphalt (uneven), and equipment. Twist, bend at knees, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and reach. Meet requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing PPE and responding appropriately to alarms and signals. Operate a computer and keyboard to input and access data, and phone as well as scanners and electronic interfaces. Work in enclosed areas and extreme temperatures both hot and cold. Know terminology and functions of machine components. Follow GMP and GxP practices and applicable gowning/degowning when working in the lab. Work Hours & Flexibility Able to work 12hour shifts on a biweekly rotation schedule. Day shift is 6:00am6:30pm; night shift is 6:00pm6:30am. Overtime may be required on weekends and/or holidays.
