Company Description Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets are undertaking the design, build, and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations, and Tunnel (South Civil) package. As Ontario Transit Group, we are now mobilizing our design and construction crews, with major works. The South Civil contract is anticipated to be completed in 2030. The project will strengthen Ontarios economy by supporting an estimated 1,500 jobs at the peak of construction. What is the project? A sixkilometer tunnel and associated tunnelling works from Exhibition to Don Yard portal (west of the Don River). Stations: One aboveground station to be integrated with the existing GO Transit Exhibition Station. Two underground stations to be integrated with the existing TTC Osgoode and Queen subway stations. Four new underground stations (King/Bathurst, Queen/Spadina, Moss Park, Corktown). The Benefits to Ontario Faster, more frequent, and reliable access to rapid transit with more than 227,500 people will live within a 10minute walk of an Ontario Line station. Improve the quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time. Reduce crowding on the existing Line1 (YongeUniversity) subway. Up to 57,000 more jobs accessible by transit (in 45 minutes or less) for Toronto residents. Economic and community growth along the future transit line and thousands of job opportunities annually during construction. Reduction in traffic congestion, greenhouse gases, and fuel consumption by providing an alternative transportation option. Job Description The MEP Site Superintendent leads and supervises all MEP activities onsite, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. You will coordinate with other trades, review shop drawings and material submittals, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues. This role drives compliance with codes and regulations while supporting inspections, documentation, and system handover. Key Responsibilities Supervise and manage MEP subcontractors and site personnel. Ensure MEP works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules. Coordinate MEP activities with other trades and disciplines to avoid conflicts and ensure smooth workflow. Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly reports on MEP activities. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Verify proper tracking of project documentation. Review and approve MEP shop drawings and material submittals. Liaise with consultants, engineers, and clients regarding technical issues and site coordination. Assist in resolving site issues and implementing corrective actions. Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and environmental regulations. Support handover of MEP systems to T&C. Assist in the preparation and review of variation orders, including identifying scope changes and assessing their impact on cost and schedule. Collaborate with project management and design teams to support change management processes and documentation. Verify site readiness for inspections and ensure that Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are properly implemented. Verify ontime delivery by subcontractor and accuracy of redline markups and asbuilt drawings. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP site supervision on largescale construction projects. Strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction methods, and safety regulations. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management tools and MS Office Suite. Fluency in English; other languages are a plus.
