This is a Hybrid role requiring 3 days in-office at the companys office located in Mississauga, ON. Reporting to the President, the National Account Manager will be responsible for driving commercial growth, with full responsibility for managing and developing all retail customer accounts across Canada including Walmart, Loblaw, Sobeys, Metro, Longo's, Federated Coop, Calgary Coop, and Save-on Foods. Responsibilities Own and manage all national retail accounts across Canada as the primary commercial contact. Build strong, trusted relationships with customer buying, merchandising, and category teams. Develop and execute joint business plans aligned with customer strategies and internal objectives. Lead customer negotiations related to pricing, promotions, distribution, and trade terms. Execute account-level sales plans to deliver revenue, distribution, and market share growth. Identify and pursue opportunities for assortment expansion, innovation listings, and promotional programs. Partner with Trade Marketing and Marketing to deliver impactful in-store and promotional execution. Manage pricing, promotions, and trade spend to achieve volume and margin targets. Own customer forecasting and contribute to annual budgets and periodic forecasts. Track, reconcile, and manage trade spend, bill-backs, and year-end agreements with strong financial discipline. Analyze customer and SKU-level profitability to support factbased decisionmaking. Work crossfunctionally with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to ensure alignment and execution. Coordinate new product launches from planning through postlaunch review. Act as the internal voice of the customer, proactively managing risks, opportunities, and performance against KPIs. Prepare and lead customer reviews and internal business updates, driving continuous improvement through datadriven insights. Requirements Post secondary degree or diploma in business administration, marketing, or a related field. 57+ years of progressive experience in CPG sales, with 3+ years managing national accounts preferably within grocery or mass retail. Experience with Nielsen or equivalent market data, customer portals, and GS1 preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; CRM experience an asset. Valid drivers license required. Bilingual English/French is an asset. Willingness to travel as required. Experience Proven experience managing large national or regional retail accounts. Experience operating crossfunctionally within a matrixed organization. Ability to lead and manage Joint Business Planning with Retailers. Strong background in pricing, trade spend, forecasting, and category management. Highly skilled in factbased selling. Strong financial acumen, including P&L, COGS, ROI, and trade spend management. Skills Strong negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills with senior customer stakeholders. Analytical, detailoriented, and datadriven, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Entrepreneurial, adaptable, strong business acumen and execution focused. Clear, confident communicator with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
