Job Description

In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa. The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations. Main responsibility and control for round voyages at service/vessel level to delivery schedule reliability Continuously improving schedule relevant processes and procedures in line with customer demands Support the development of schedule relevant IT-projects Responsible for overseeing round-trip schedules considering berth availability, port performance and ocean/ coastal voyage execution for own/operated vessels and partner vessels Consolidate schedule relevant information from Regional Network Execution Pro-active preparation and implementation of recovery measures Guidance to regional operations ensuring optimized network execution to ensure schedule reliability Consolidating and evaluating operational requirements and performance Monitor port/terminal congestion and waiting times Feedback requirements and observations to N&C Post-assessment of recovery measures (cost, benefit and level of accuracy) Analysis of operational data to identify patterns, weaknesses and disruption within the network and/or ship operations and communicate required amendments to relevant departments (N&C, Fleet Management, Purchasing & Supply) Development of best practices for round voyage steering Advise schedule relevant information for Network Execution Services to Regions, Planning and Scheduling Working student currently studying at Bachelor''s/master''s Level Skill and will to learn with curiosity Ability to multitask and navigate between different stakeholders and topics simultaneously Open minded and forward thinking to work in a diverse setup Good command of spoken and written English Be a part of our Student community: meet other students and exchange ideas during our Student Lunch & Coffee Breaks If flexibility is important to you: choose the working hours that best fit your college schedule Work with us directly in the heart of Hamburg at the Binnenalster or mobile at home Of course, we also take care of your physical well-being: in our company restaurant we offer yummy dishes for small and large appetites Take part in our company sports activities such as table tennis, dragon boat racing and yoga.
