Summary:As a Terminology intern, you will be playing a key role in ensuring quality, accuracy and consistency of translated content.Position responsibilities: Creation of client- and domain-specific multilingual glossaries for the localization processResearching industry terms, understanding the concept behind terms and defining it in a concise way for the linguists and other stakeholdersEnsuring that terminology makes sense and is in line with clients’ target audience and goalsReview and updates of glossaries of existing clientsEnsure that linguists understand key terminology and apply it correctlyAssist with linguistic queries coming from the linguistsTerminology project coordination, liaison with freelancers, project managers and clients on terminology-related mattersBecome proficient in TransPerfect’s proprietary terminology management and extraction tools Essential skills and experience required: Be able to sign an internship agreement with the University you are enrolled inBe available for full time, onsite work in our central city offices for a 6 month periodExcellent written and verbal English communication skills, other languages would be an assetSome experience in translationStudies in Translation or other language-related fieldInterest in Terminology workCommitment to language qualityEffective time managementProactive, can-do attitudeTransPerfect provides equal employment opportunities to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by local law.
