Senior Legal Counsel - Data Privacy & Responsible AILocation: Munich, GermanyWe are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to support global data privacy and responsible AI initiatives. This role focuses on advising international subsidiaries, managing cross-border data transfers, and updating our Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs). You will also contribute to ESG reporting, help shape privacy and AI risk management tools and processes, and support the implementation of privacy automation technologies and coordination with IT functions.Key Responsibilities:Advise internal stakeholders on data privacy matters, particularly across international subsidiaries.Oversee international data transfer compliance (e.g., SCCs, TIAs).Support the review and implementation of Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs).Provide guidance on privacy automation tools (e.g., OneTrust) and their integration into business processes.Contribute to the development and deployment of Privacy Enhancing Technologies (PETs) in coordination with IT and other technical teams.Lead ESG reporting related to data privacy and responsible AI.Advise on internal privacy and AI risk management tools and processes.Monitor legal developments and ensure alignment with global standards.Requirements:Qualified lawyer in a common law jurisdiction (e.g., UK, US, Canada, Australia, etc.).Minimum 5 years experience in data privacy, ideally in a global setting.Solid understanding of GDPR, international data transfers, and BCRs.Experience advising on or implementing privacy automation tools (e.g., OneTrust) and/or PETs.Experience with ESG or AI governance is a plus.Strong communication skills and a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.What''s on Offer:A strategic legal role at the intersection of privacy, ESG, and emerging tech.International work environment with flexible arrangements.Competitive compensation and development opportunities.
